    Default 200mb Data Plan

I was looking at the 200mb data family plan for my blackberry. Would 200mb be enough for 1 month if i was at home/school most of the time and i used wifi when home? The only things i would be doing is Using Facebook rarely, BBM most of the time and downloading some apps.

    Thanks

It depends on how many devices are on your family plan. Smartphones use more data, especially Android devices whereas BBs are better in compressing data. You'd have to be on WiFi most of the time and you have to limit yourself to what you do. I have the 200 MB data plan on my BB and I use anywhere from 75 MB to 150 MB per month but that's because I'm on WiFi most of the time. I'm not a heavy user either. I don't stream music or videos while I'm away from WiFi. You can try it out for a month and see how that goes. Be aware that if you have any grandfathered data plans on your lines you might not be able to go back to them if you wanted to.

    Default 150 mb

I would second what Armando175 said. The BB is pretty good at compressing traffic. I do some RSS, social feeds, e-mail and web browsing, with most of it occurring on Wifi. I use about 150MB of data per month. My wife, who pretty much just uses e-mail and BBM is down around 50MB per month.

Don't forget, with the new plans, data doesn't stop at 200MB, it just gets slower. I was told by a t-mo rep that it kicks down to EDGE speeds. Dunno if this is true or not, since I haven't experienced going over the limit yet. And EDGE is all we have anyway.

We have those limits in my family. Never been an issue with WiFi and no streaming music or video. Also data monitoring bye-office mobile - Mobile Data Alerter
