WiFi Access on my own phone
Hello,
I am a current AT&T customer that does not have a data plan. I just bought a BB Curve 8320 on eBay. The phone works great except for the WiFi. I cannot get the phone's WiFi to work on my home network or on a completely open network. I've spent hours pouring through forums trying everything suggested. No luck.
Is there a requirement from AT&T to have a data plan for WiFi even if I own the phone and I only want to use this on my home network or an open network (like Biggby coffee)?
Thanks,

Do you have the service books for WiFi on your phone?

Hello,
I have these Wi-Fi service books installed:
WiFi TCP/IP Browser
WiFi TCP/IP Transport
Curious - tonight I was able to get an IP Address from my home router for a few moments. I was not able to browse the Internet even with the Browser Default set to Hotspot. I removed the battery to install my SD Memory card. When I powered-up the BB, I get the error message (via Wi-Fi Diagnostics) IP Address no longer valid. Even though my router assigned my BB the correct IP Address.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
