    Default Unlocked Storm for At&t

I purchased an unlocked 9530 storm online to use with at&t service. The phone is unlocked but when I try to set up email it is asking me if my bb enterprise server administrator provided me with an enterprise activation password. Also there is no browser button located in the menu. Can anyone help me out with any of this?

You need a BlackBerry data plan (BIS).

    Hi,

It seems the previous owner had an it policy on the phone,

You will need to remove the IT policy and get a BIS data plan to use email on the unlocked storm.

Seacrh the forums, there is info on how to remove the IT policy.

    Cheers,

    James

Can you use the Storm on the GSM based network? This makes no sense to me. I'm under the impression the CDMA and GSM radios were different. How can the OP use a Storm on AT&T?

The 95XX and the 96XX are considered World Phones. They have both CDMA and GSM radios in them. The 8830 is the same way too, but will only work on GSM networks outside of North America.
