Default "There is insufficient network coverage to process your request"

"There is insufficient network coverage to process your request Please try again later" I have four bars. Blackberry Storm is unlocked with the AT&T service books. The message only comes up when i enter something in the url bar or the google bar. The browser will only the past sites I've visited, but, I can go on forever clicking on links from website to website.

    What OS are you running?
And also when this occurs, do you have "edge" or "EDGE?"

...did this just start this evening?

I wonder if it has anything to do with the BIS 2.7 upgrade? What about clearing the cache?

Also, as a test, do you have the CrackBerry.com launcher installed? If yes, can you get to CrackBerry.com from it?

It started happening this evening, but after I did a complete wipe of all personal data. The browser was no longer there, so i had to reinstall the service books for AT&T. I think I probably messed something up during the personal data erase. I was also getting some weird error message once or twice "the XML is not well-formated"

its working for the web right now, if i click on google under history, then type in the website I want to goto, but that sucks. I did a sim and battery pull 3 times. I also just updated the opp. system on the storm. Still same messages. So ure saying if EDGE or GSM came on the browser would work correctly?

Right. Plus, last night\this morning was the worst time you could have decided to reload an OS.

BIS had changes\upgrades thus the service books probably was not delivered properly.

Nonetheless, BIS is now backup, log into it from a pc, and then resend the service books...

I think you will find the problem is the phone not AT&T. I had poor to no coverage on AT&T with a Storm and 4 to 5 bars on an iPhone.

You used a Storm on AT&T?

And BlackBerry's are much better than iPhones for reception, you hear a lot about problems with the iPhone and none about the BB

Maybe one was on EDGE and the other was on 3G

And even though there is a difference, it should not be that much, my wife had an Alltel Snap, which is a very low end phone and it had 2 bars at my house and my BB has 3

I am not 100% saying that AT&T is the problem, but having worked with cell phones for 10 years, that sound like the issue, then again I am more familiar with CDMA

The amount of signal you have doesn't really matter too much. If you have "edge" instead of "EDGE" like you did previously while trying to use the internet, it won't work. You don't have data.

In my short experience running a Storm on AT&T (one day) I'd say it might be the OS. Right now I'm running .148 with .132 radio and I have a solid EDGE connection all day. With the exception of the first three hours or so when it was swapping between edge/EDGE. I was also doing this around midnight est.

But why would you want to lock it into EDGE, wheb you could get 3G with another carrier, that would be like locking my phone into 1X, why would I want to do that, it slow as ****
