AT&T question
I have a problem that worries me very greatly.
I recently reeived about 8 messages, each saying that "You have exceeded $200 in data charges" I'm honestly not sure what that means. Will I have to pay this much($200 * 8 = $1600) Is there anyway I can fix this? I'm really worried now.
Thanks! - 07-24-2010, 11:09 AM #2
No, the new tiered data features will not stack like that. Each time you exceed a 200Mb chunk, a new tier is added. I seriously doubt you used 1600Mb of data, unless you tether then yeah, you will charged accordingly. Better call customer care quickly and have them look at your data usage.

It may sound dumb, but I'm not really sure why I'm even getting these messages. I don't know what I did to get these possible charges. Can you or anyone tell me what caused these messages to be sent to me? I'm sorry, but I'm just really worried.
Thanks and I will try customer service as well. - 07-24-2010, 01:06 PM #4
What device do you have? What data plan do you have?

Call *3282# to get your current data use. Then check your plan to see if there is a real problem.

I finally contacted AT&T and they said it was actually a mistake and I can finally disregard this mess. I'm so relieved.
Thanks so much all of you.
