    Default AT&T Prepaid

    Hi,

I was wondering if an AT&T rep could provide me with some information. I will be travelling to the US in a couple weeks and would like to use my BB and not get charged out the rear by my current carrier (Rogers). My BB Torch is unlocked, would I be able to purchase a Prepaid SIM card? Also what kind of plans would I be able to purchase while I am in the US?

Thanks for any advise you can give me.

Unless ATT has changed their prepaid plans, the ones they offer would be "Pay as you go" and "Pick your plan", neither of which provide BB data functionality.

You -may- be able to make and receive calls if your SIM is gets unlocked by care... BlackBerry-specific data...no go, but general browsing should work if the proper settings are configured. Prepaid SIM cards tend to be locked to the phones they are packaged with, and must receive an unlock update to be used in different phones. Bleh, haven't heard much about using RIM phones on GoPhone service since 2008.
