Question on upgrading a contract
Ok, so I have the $5 text plan which gives me 200 text messages. If I use a 2 year contract extension to buy a new phone, will I HAVE to get the $10 text plan which gives 1000 texts? I currently have a 200 MB data plan. Can I just lock in a 2 year contract with the more expensive $25 2 GB data plan instead of getting a more expensive text plan?

You CAN keep your $5 text package. if you ever remove it, it will be gone forever.

Just ask Customer Care to have it put back on. If you didn't voluntarily remove the messaging feature, it can be fixed. Yes, a supervisor can do it, and NO, YOU DO NOT NEED TO TALK TO A SUPERVISOR, just ask that they put it back on, saying it was lost in an upgrade. It will take all of maybe three minutes to fix.
"Hey, I upgraded and my 200 message feature got taken off. Can you ask a supervisor to put it back for me?"
Done.
This does not apply to unlimited laptop connect data plans.
