Is this possible?
I'll try to make it as short as possible, but include the pertinent info.
I ported over from Centennial Wireless when AT&T bought them out. Had 2 lines, i only upgraded one to get my 9700, kept the old phone i had on the other. My 9700 line has the Blackberry plan and messaging add-on. So, fast forward, the Captivate is about to come out. i want to get it, BUT, will i have to add a second data and messaging add-on to it, increasing my bill by the $30 or so for data and $20 i think for the messaging? because i want to keep my BB and have the Captivate also.

Not sure if this is 100% correct, but I'm 95% sure.
If you only have one line you only need one data plan. You can swap the SIM from phone to phone using the same data plan, but you would need to call AT&T each time you switch the SIM from phone to phone to reactivate it.Blackberry Bold 9700 => 18.104.22.1688
