Phone ugrade length of time
I was wondering if AT&T would ever switch their policy on upgrading your phone from every 18 months to only every 12 months (but still have the 2year contract extension), like some other carriers offer. Any help or insight?

Not every primary line gets an upgrade every 12 months, it depends on the rate plan.

Dealing with the old exchange of upgrades, what is that exactly? I don't think I have ever heard of that before.

If one line has an upgrade, you can use that upgrade towards a device to be used on a different line than the one upgraded.

The only family plan this doesn't apply to is the 550 minutes (which is a grandfathered plan anyhow). As long as your MRC is $60+ you should be able to upgrade every 12 months.
