Is it my phone, ATT, or the area I am at?
I have a release day bb Bold 9000 that I have upgraded to to os version 4.6.0.301. I live, work, go to school, and hang out in the motor cities (Flint, Pontiac, Detroit) but home is back in the suburbs of Chicago. A year ago I went through about 3 replacement referb phones (all bold 9000) and 3 battier and 2 sim cards because my phone would randomly reboot while I was talking to someone. Tech support and I tried several OSs on the phones and mixing and matches batters, phones, sims, and os to fix the problem nothing worked, this all happened manly in the Flint, MI area. I went home to Chicago with my original phone given up on fixing the problem and the problem stopped, I went back to Flint and it happened again. At one point a tech support agent looked up where I was and said that the problem was because there was an ATT tower to close to my location in Flint and that caused the problems. But then one day it just stop happening all together. Now in the last couple of days the phone will get stuck in SOS service mode and have to do a battery pull to get it back. Or it will say I have full service but not receive any calls, texts, or emails until I do a battery pull. This is happening in the Flint area and I haven't had a chance to return to Chicago to see if it continues. Now the entire time I have had the phone I have had great 3G service in Flint, Pontiac, Detroit, and Chicago, or at least I have always had 3G in these areas and full bars most of the time, I don't know if it really worked all the time or not.
Now where this is going, it is coming close to the end of my contract and wondering should I switch to Verizon, stay with att but switch to something other than a blackberry or stay with a blackberry (I am waiting to see the Bold (Torch/Slider) 9800)?
Thank you in advance for you time and opinions.
