Canceling data plan?
Hi, I have a Bold and currently have a data plan and am part of my mother's plan (5 people family plan) and was wondering if I can call in to cancel my data plan since I realized that I don't use the internet much so do I need to go in person with my mom? (Seeing as how she's account holder) Or can I just do it online or call? Thanks in advance!

I do not believe AT&T is going to allow the device to be used without a data plan, so unless you plan to change devices, you will not be able to drop that data package.

you could switch to the $15 plan.

Wrong, the $15 data plan is not allow for any smartphone phone, BB or iPhone. Even if u were to add it, once the system detects it's a BB on te wrong data plan, it will remove the plan and add the correct data plan.

Ummmm... The OP could sign up for one of the new smartphone data plans. If the OP doesn't use internet or email much then 200mb for $15 would be a good solution if they still want their BB.

Sorry to say, but you are incorrect. The new revised data plans allow for BlackBerrys and Iphones to use the $15 per month/200MB - data plan.

I just switched two of the five BB 9700's on my account over to the new $15 plan, while the other 3 stay on the old "unlimited" $30 per month plan (which you can no longer get)
