since the device is out in some parts of Canada already..
i'm willing to bet sometime close to the Thanksgiving period.. just in time for the black friday event.
by that time the Torch has been out for a while.

I don't know if my 9000 can hold out until Thanksgiving
It is almost 2 years old and is starting to die. I tried the torch...but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

There is no official or semi-official information about a pending release of the 9780 for AT&T.
There was also no information about the release of the 9300 or the 9100, so interpret as desired. - 11-09-2010, 05:50 PM #9
Actually, both the 9100 and 9300 were officially announced by AT&T several weeks before their release.
Interestingly, while the 9100 was given a firm date in the announcement, the 9300 was simply to be out "for the holidays". Yet both the Pearl 3G and Curve 3G ended up coming out on the 9100's release date.

I am also waiting for the 9780 to make its way to AT&T. Its very frustrating that they haven't even acknowledged the device yet and we're almost midway through November. I read one rumor that AT&T would be getting the device the same day T-Mobile does which is Nov. 17. Don't know how creditable that rumor was but we shall see.

I really want a 9780 bad. I hope it comes to att. But I can wait. Although I hardly ever think like this maybe BlackBerry will release a phone witth qnx software. Only time will tell

I have a Torch and honestly don't love it. The virtual keyboard is nearly impossible to type on with any speed or accuracy. The physical keyboard is flat and crowded. I'm ready to try the 9780.

Now let me ask you guys this, has anyone gone to a ATT store and asked someone who works there if they know or heard anything about the 9780 and in coming to ATT? I was thinking about doing this the other day but got side tracked and was unable to due so, perhaps today I will swing by that is if someone already hasn't beat me to the punch

I've gone twice and I'm sure some people have also gone I got the same story both times. They didn't know anything and they tried pushing a Torch my way. No thanks.
