I've been on that same plan through Verizon for a couple of months now - definately a nice feature

Nice feature, just that I currently use the $15 messaging plan and don't use a lot of minutes (you have to sign up for the unlimited messaging plan for this). So the extra $5 a month isn't worth it for me since I have rollover already that I don't use.

Any idea on price? It just says to check back tomorrow and sign up.

Isn't this the same thing that Sprint has had for a couple of years now?

Unlimited messaging, and I believe all voice plans except the El Cheapo 550 minute group plan.
And the best part is, you can read about this on the website later today while talking on the same phone. Har har.

Doubt most of the AT&T users need minutes anyways since they mostly use iphones...

They'll need it the most, considering how the iPhones drop more calls than they take, which is an insane paradox. I think they drop calls from alternate realities and planes of existence.
Verizon's iPhone 4 is also dropping calls like mad. Vindicating, it is.

I'm sure AT&T will still be blamed, somehow..

Right, the Cult of Jobs will not give up its scapegoat... or would that be sacrificial lamb?... quite so easily. Cognitive dissonance is an unruly beast.
Anywho, this service was set up to drum up more activations. Why not add some more lines, if it'll hardly cost you any minutes anymore? That was the one thing stopping me from adding two more lines... I didn't want to have to deal with other people's insane usage... talking on the phone all day while simultaneously doing nothing... what was there to talk about with no new experiences?

So does this replace your actual plan? Wife and I are on the 550/ with rollover and unlimited texting + 2 data plans. Can we just switch to this and drop the messaging, because this has messaging?

This feature is not available on the 550 minute family plan in case anyone was wondering. I think it starts on the 700 minute + plans. That is not what I wanted to see.

All it appears to be is substituting Unlimited Messaging with Unlimited Messaging with unlimited mobile to mobile minutes. The cost is the exact same, so unless I am missing something, it seems like it would just be beneficial to select the unlimited mobile to mobile option and nobody would ever run out of minutes. How many people out there actually use 450 (or more) minutes to landline phones?

Precisely why I want to add this!! I don't know anyone with a landline still. Everyone has a cell.
