Default For an AT&T rep- or expert!!

My parents have AT&T, and have recently upgraded their iPhone's. They gave me their old 3G, but I have Tmobile. Because the BB on the phones are 5.15, I won't unlock them- main reason being I LOVE my GPS and use it A LOT. If they called to have AT&T unlock them, will they? Can they? Is there anyway to get this done? Thanks!

No, I'm not willing to pay $1000 termination fee for my 5 lines just to use an iPhone, as was once suggested to me.. I am currently using it as an iPod, and would rather keep it that way instead of screwing it up, too!!

I am thinking that AT&T does not unlock iPhones, but I am not an expert.

you need to be an active at&t customer to have phones unlocked by at&t. they wont unlock them for you since you are a t-mobile user. have them call and ask for you.

I think that they will do that with almost all phones, except the iPhone.

It's Apple's mule-headed nonsense that keeps iPhones from being permanently unlockable.

Notice all the stories about the VZW iPhone having the same problems as the AT&T varieties? The scapegoat got out of the pen!
