Default AT&T Mobile Protection Pack

Did anyone else purchase this with their device? Is it worth it?
I was encouraged to purchase it with my 9810 so I did. But I read that the deductible is going up in October from $150 to $200. I never lose my device and I've never had it stolen and I never drop it or anything, so I feel as though I was ripped off with this deal.

So remove the protection pack. It's distinct from basic insurance.

BlackBerry Protect does EVERYTHING else.

The BlackBerry Protect service is a free application and service offered by RIM that allows you to not only remotely back up or wipe your device, but locate it much in the same way other GPS/cell site tracking applications do, in addition to making it BEEEEEEEEEEEEEP to find it under your laundry, display a message, or just lock it.

I use it to schedule automated over-the-air backups each Sunday night.

You get it from the BlackBerry App World, and you just log into it with your BlackBerry ID.

Ah sorry for forgetting to reply. I activated it and I'm going to cancel my warranty from AT&T seeing as how it's basically useless.

Thank you!

Most 3rd party vendors offer an alternative warrenty service. Usually halve the price depending on orotection. Ex:

· No warrenty/insurance means paying for full price in stores. A BB Torch can be 599.99 at full price.
· Getting a warrenty can be 7.99 every month, with a deductable of 125.00. Adding up to a 232.88, if damaged/lost.
· Then 3rd party vendors usually offer atleast a plan for 125.00, but not as protective as the carriers.

So I'd recommend going with their service then the carriers, seeing how you'd like to save money on damages that usually happen to you.

Nonononono, you do NOT cancel your insurance as a whole. You WILL regret it. Also, you cannot cancel your warranty unless you damage your phone.

So your deductible for your BB will be $125 not $200. Only super high cost phones like iPhone, tablets or new high priced Android phones will be a $200 deductible. However, the monthly premium will be going up from $4.99 to $6.99 for mobile insurance by itself on October 4th. The mobile protection pack is staying $9.99 which includes the insurance.
