AT&T BIS, any IMAP options?

I was looking to use my gmail account with the imap settings rather than pop. I have looked on my Bold 9000 and the AT&T BIS website and cannot find any way to enable imap.

Am I missing something?

Log into Gmail and go into Settings. Disable POP (if you won't use it for any other client) and enable IMAP. When you setup the account on BIS, it will use IMAP automatically. If you already have Gmail setup on BIS, delete the account and set it up again after enabling IMAP in Gmail.

Hey thanks, that seemed like the obvious thing, but I was looking for the imap settings to follow the google help article. Go figure, I am always looking for the complicated solution it seems.

I just followed your directions and all is set up, so I'll see how it goes. Thank you.

What rrebo describes is exactly how I set up my gmail on my 9000. Works like a charm. You can also sync your calendar using BIS.

Thanks again to rrrebo and DrLouie. Seems I am up and runnign nicely with Gmail on the BB without having to use the Gmail app. I am on a Bold 9000 and the limited memory is tough to handle, I wonder if the 9900 will ever be released.
