Default SIM card and plan changes

I have 3 lines on ATT. One for an iPhone but we sold 2 old 3GS and purchased 2 regular dumb phones. Once we put the sim cards in those phones when they arrive will ATT remove the $15 data plans on those lines since the new phones don't need it. I expect to get hit with an activation fee and that's fine we were looking to cut out the extra $30 per month. Sorry if this has been asked before but I am fairly new to ATT and wasn't sure how the sim cards worked.

You have to let AT&T know the IMEI numbers of each phone, and then remove the data features and replace them with either a block, pay per use, or unlimited for non-smartphones.

Activation fees only come when you start a new line of service. There is no charge to change which phones you are using on the lines once they are active, and in most cases, no need to inform AT&T that you changed phones. Just try to keep the changes in the same group. Like changing BlackBerry phones, or 3G iPhones, miscellaneous smartphones... each of those can be changed with the same type of phone in their respective groups. Any messaging or basic phone? Field's open, change to whatever you like, whenever you like.
