| | pandora & at&T
I have a question for the crack berry nation. according to Pandora, there are some issues with Pandora stopping on the last 2 seconds of a song, they blame the carrier, in my case AT&T. I can live with that. and i was also inquiring with them regarding the Black Berry visor mount blue tooth speaker.
they say they have experienced mixed results with Blackberries,A2D2 and streaming. anyone else have these issues on AT&T? I want to buy the visor mount to stream pandora and slacker , but if it does not work, why bother. My Motorola S-9 headphones really s*ck with My Bold & torch. wifi also interferes. I am in s. Florida.

ive noticed a similar issue with ATT and Pandora..ddly enough i dont recall having any issues like this with my 8900 (non 3G) =(
my issue is that usually in the first few seconds of a song sometimes pandora will stop, and play the next song! not a biggie, but when its a song i particularly like it kinda pisses me off.....also ive noticed the time between songs sometimes is longer than usual and when i look at my device, it says " starting so and so radio" so that would tell me that i lost connection somewhere and that its reconnecting....
sigh
im in So Cal on ATT...probably one of the worst spots + a buggy 9800 =

yeah, the engineers @ Pandora looked at my data stream for the day and it all points to the network. and yes, many songs will start then bufffer(watch the arrow in the corner, dance!). my torch is WAAAY better with OS 6 than my 9000 or my old 8900 curve. I am hoping the Blackberry visor speaker plays nice with Pandora. My motrola S 9 "s do not!! big fail!!
re: starting so and so, I do that constantly with the Torch, I keep touching the screen and changing the channel!, but you are right , it always loses the stream and skips during a fav! aaarrgg!

personally i am against visor speakers...why not incorporate it into your car? does your car have an aux feature or adapter?

to be honest , I do use my aux on my radio, but the calls sound like crap. but streaming thought the radio is great. when I get a call I uplug and pick up the phone. a PITA. I was hoping the visor would handle the calls then I could go back to streaming on the stereo. but calls through my radio are disappointing, have to immediately, turn up volume to verry high, close the windows etc, annoying. was hoping the visor would handle call better without messing up the stream.

AT&T does not care what you do with data. If your stream is cutting out at a predictable point during each song, IT IS OBVIOUSLY PANDORA. No carrier has the ability to read your data usage in real time and shut you off with such precision. This isn't the movies.

When you need support from them, you upload the data log from your phone to the engineers. They can see why, when, how your pandora app is doing during a Set period. They examined this readout I sent them and have determined there is some kind of buffering issue where I live. They claim the app is ok.was just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue bEing on at&t? Thanks

Works fine for me on AT&T. But network problems are almost always location specific, so that's not that helpful.

Have you tried changing Pandora settings from high quality to normal--for slow connections?

The pandora app was running then they can see wherre it stops or skips or freezes and they analize it. I sent them numerous. Data streams and they're opinion is there is a glitch from the carriers end , not their's so my question was, does anyone else on at&t experience songs stopping at the very end of a song, usually 2 second left?

Never. I stopped using Pandora a while back, but it always worked fine, even on EDGE.
Pandora just blames the carriers because they're incompetent and don't know how to troubleshoot the issue. If AT&T could see what you were accessing in realtime and do something to your connection because of it, there would be a lot more people canceled for ToS violations.

You might be right. You say you stopped ussing Pandora. Is there a better app? I like streaming music, I don't own many CD's. Tried. Slacker, not as good.

tune in radio is pretty good , just a lot of work to get to what you like. some stations want you to register to listen, but it is extensive.
