For legal reasons, my statements are not those of AT&T. As always, do your own research.
The iPhone costs about $14 to build.
The series is manufactured by Foxconn, a Chinese computer component manufacturer known for poor engineering and mass suicides. Look them up on Wikipedia for links to news articles. Foxconn is responsible for both the YLOD and the RROD in the PS3 and Xbox 360, respectively.
Nearly all persistent issues with dropped calls on AT&T involve the iPhone. That is to say, more than 90% of dropped call reports are from iPhone users. If it were the network itself at fault in all of these complaints, there would not be such a vast majority of one company's phones having service issues.
Every time AT&T is given favorable reviews, it happens when BlackBerry phones or other equipment are used to test the network. See the mid-2010 network speed tests.
Poor reviews come about when iPhones are brought into the fray.
If the iPhone is so good, then why does Apple not trust its consumers to change the battery? It's as if the equipment was designed to be replaced annually instead of being maintained....
