I ended up ordering mine online today. Sometimes I think AT&T should "Think" and then if that don't work "ReThink"

Sounds like we all did the same thing. Disappointing at the least. I did try the new Bold 9900 and it just didn't have that appeal. I did however find a new appreciation for the 9810 though. I'm going to go out tomorrow and check my local best buy stores (not hopeful theyll have the 9860) and maybe the 9810 would work for me. Could always order online but I prefer to check it out personally before.

I shopped Verizon and Sprint stores enough playing around with their displays and pretty much decided on the 9860 a while back - today was a huge dissapointment - now Im gonna be stalking the fedex truck waiting for mine to arrive.

Brilliant idea not calling the stores first. It's not like the phone numbers and addresses are on the internet or the AT&T site or anything.

Ouch Mr X, that kinda hurt. I did call the corporate store around 4pm Saturday and asked about the "two new blackberrys" being available Sunday - the sales clerk said "Yes we have them but you have to wait till tomorrow to purchase". I called BestBuy also to inquire about their inventory and was told they were too busy to even check. I hate to beat on customer service folks, but the worst part is when I got to the store Sunday I was greeted with Welcome to ATT, what can we do for you? I replied I was here to purchase a new BB9860. I was placed on a waiting list and waited 15-20 minutes only to be told by the "next available rep" that they had no idea what I was talking about - I mean he was clueless and had to look on att.com to prove to himself that I didnt just make up some bogus numbers. I left dissapointed none the less. In a day or so fedex will drop off my 9860 and I will be happy again - so dont take it personal, Im just ranting.

So, I have no issue ordering online (I guess they offer free overnight shipping??), but what are you all doing about Data plans since online is trying to make you change away from the Unlimited Data plans?? Such BS. Frankly, I'm not sure I'd trust a CSR to change it back, after the fact.
I was thinking of just calling ATT and having them send me the phone and running my card right there, making sure my plan doesn't change.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I think they will be in the stores by Nov. 20th. Why not just wait and get it then? Less than two weeks away and you can then make sure nothing changes on your data plan!

Nov. 20th huh? Kind of disappointing.
I still plan on running into an ATT store tonight. Going to ask about the 9860 and HTC Titan. Honestly between all this crap and now all these reports of randomly bricking OS7 devices, I'm strongly considering WP Mango until QNX comes with a strong device. I can't wait til Q1/Q2 for QNX though. Pains me to say that as a BB lover. I really wanted a BB to pair with my Playbook, but I was already settling if I went 9860 cause I really wanted a +4" BB.
I'm just really annoyed. I've been waiting on my contract upgrade for a year already, because there wasn't a phone I felt I had to have. I just can't take this unlocked Storm 2 anymore. Its gotta go. Can't go iOS or Android, so its basically settle on a smaller BB and hope its not buggy or try out WP and the huge HTC Titan. Don't really want a cheap Samsung (Focus S).
