Angry My contacts sync default keeps reverting back to AT&T.

I have changed my default sync for my contacts to "default." It keeps changing to AT&T sync default.

The problem began when I upgraded from Curve to Torch. Suddenly, I had two address books: default (BB) and AT&T (those created on BB. With the help of RIM, we managed to get them all back in "default".

Today, I had to trade in my dead Torch for a warranty replacement. I have tried desparately to get rid of the At&T sync contact choice, but I cannot. I even have my config settings set from Outlook to device only

AT&T tech phone support refuses to help me. Today, they put me on hold for several minutes (until I gave up) when I asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke to two reps who refused to assist me. They would only give me the RIM support number, for which support is impossible unless I have an AT&T case #. THIS IS AN AT&T PROBLEM THAT HAS NOW BECOME MY PROBLEM - A BIG ONE! What can I do???

This is going to sort of work in reverse process. This link speaks of setting the sync to the ATT Address Book, reverse the steps.

KB24084-Synchronization with the AT&T Address Book in BlackBerry 6.0 Device Software

You may need to physically remove the cod files for the att sync using bbsak. Sorry I cannot be of much more help but I dont have ATT. Something to try would be to call into ATT and say that you upgraded to a MAC and am having issues with the Syncing. I know ATT used to NOT support MAC, this may get you transferred to RIM by Tech Support, cant say for sure.

Looks like the COD files to be deleted would be the net_rim_nabsync* files. Don't have em on my berry since I using Telus, carrier 332, and he cod files in the install folder are carrier 102 and 114.

102 = Cingular/AT&T
114 = T-Mobile

Both of which use the mobile sync for the address book.

Ask AT&T to remove the AT&T Address Book features from your line?

NDA prevents me from explaining anything or voicing my opinion on this matter.
