Default If I have a T-Mobile BIS plan, and I switch to AT&T... QUESTION!

I am out of contract with T-Mobile, and I am thinking of switching over to AT&T.

There are two BIS data plans on my EV+ family plan (with T-Mobile at the moment).

One is my 9700, and the other is my bro's 9000.

My question is: When I switch carriers and port all the four numbers (its a family plan) to AT&T (from T-Mobile), the moment that I switch, will the ESN's of the BlackBerry's be cleared?

Will the PIN be released?

So that I can possibly sell these devices on eBay...

Or are there other steps that I have to take? (In order for my BlackBerry's to be sold without issues, so that the acquirer can use them with his/her own BIS/BES plan without issues)

Any help is welcome.

Thank you!

You have to have T-Mobile zero out the equipment on your BIS account with them, or delete the BIS account entirely in order to use the phones on another carrier.

Why switch? You'll likely be dragged over in the near future anyway.

So I have to tell T-Mobile to do so, it doesn't automatically do it is what you are saying, correct?

Can I ask them to do this "clearing/cleaning/zero out" at a T-Mobile store, or do I have to call T-Mobile/BlackBerry?

Thank you.

Give T-mobile a call. Should be a simple process to release the PINs.

If you want a fast call, say you need to have technical support clear out your BIS (use the acronym, do not say BlackBerry Internet Service) account. When you get to tier 2, say that you need the PIN and IMEI on your BIS account set to zero so you can allow somebody else to use the phone.
