Default I want a different phone!

I bought the BlackBerry Torch 9800 about 6 months ago, and I was thinking about getting the iphone 4. I'm just wondering how much it would cost me to switch phones if anyone knows.

Thanks in advance!

Well ETF on your Blackberry is going to be $325 - $60 (6 months x $10) = $265.

Then you have to purchase the iPhone and open a new contract with a new cell phone #. $200-$300 for the phone under a 2yr agreement not including the actual service plan.

At least $500, maybe $600 to convert to an iPhone4.

The iphone4 is going to be dirt cheap after the iphone5...

Just buy it used without requiring a contract/upgrade.

Early upgrade will be $400 for a 16GB iPhone 4. After six months in contract you can do an early upgrade.

You could sell your Torch and then buy a used iPhone4. Looks like you can get 300-350 for the Torch and the iPhone would be about 450 or so. That way you only end up spending 100 or so.

How do I go about doing this? And will I lose my unlimited data?

For the price of the EFT, you can just find an iPhone 4 here on one of the forums and probably get it for about the same price (maybe about $50 more on average, but that gives you a ball park).

I dont understand why you all want him to go through ETF + New contract. You could just sell the torch and buy a used iPhone4 outright. The net should be +/- $50...and you dont have to go through extending your contract....

OP I switched from the Torch to the iPhone4 a few months ago and within 6 weeks I was back to my Torch! Don't do it man! The iPhone is a nice gadget, don't get me wrong. When jailbroken it does cool things. I just hated HAVING to jailbreak and install apps do do some things my BB did nativly. You don't think you will miss the push notifications as much now but just wait till they are gone. I missed being able to leave the room for a few and come back in and just LOOK at my phone and know if I missed anything. Sounds like small stuff now but be warned you will miss the Torch.
