HSPA+ on the 9900 in the Phoenix Area

We are currently with Sprint and are thinking of changing providers. I am military and our choices are either VZW or AT&T, just because of coverage when we go back to Michigan to visit family. I was wondering what your experiences are in the phoenix area.

I'm using a 9900 in Phoenix and i dont really have any issues network wise. Any gripes i have are with the phone specifically. It seems like sometimes my BIS just hangs especially with BBM, and with all data going through the RIM NOC it just cant be as quick as an Android device, not that it needs to be.

Since AT&T just launched LTE in Phoenix, i imagine all backhaul has been upgraded thus making for a better experience on HSPA.

edit: i might also add that the BIS issues have persisted across multiple devices and countless OS upgrades. I have used other devices on the AT&T network (android, iOS, webOS, wp7) without issue however.
