Default Did I Just Fek Myself?!

Been with ATT forever so I've had the unlimited data plan grandfathered into all of my devices so far. But recently I bought a Playbook and there's no wi-fi where I live so I used the Blackberry Bridge off Appworld. But after ATT "discovered" the free data use they made it sure to require a plan to make the Bridge work off my 9810. So I called 611 and had a rep change my plan to the $50/5gig data plan with the $20 fee for activating the wi-fi hotspot since I've got 7.1 on the 9810.
I asked the rep for my avg. data use over the past year and I hadn't gone over 2gig the entire time. So I feel like the 5 gig should be plenty but then again I have no idea how much the Playbook running on Hotspot will soak up...sort of have buyers remorse.
Can't go back to the unlimited since they make it clear, once you switch you CAN'T go back to what you had (thank god I still have my A-List).
So I guess the question is, would YOU switch from unlimited data for to a gig plan just for the Hotspot??

If I wanted the Hotspot, then yes. Now that AT&T is throttling heavy users (I got the throttle text after hitting a little over 2GB), the appeal of the unlimited plans shrank exponentially for me. I'd rather have the 2 or 3GB data plan and pay for the occasional overage charge, and always have 3G/4G speeds, then have unlimited 2G. For me, 2G speeds just don't work for streaming music, which is where 95% of my data usage comes from. Thus, I'll probably bail on my unlimited plan soon enough.

when i was on sprint with unlimited data on my 9650 i always streamed pandora in my work tuck 8-10 hours a day and used the playbook occasionally. i dont think i went over 2gb on my berry.

thats the beauty of a blackberry is its data compression skills.
