Default BES express

My work is offering to hook me up to BESX to get my work email. I am currently on BIS and have been getting my work email syncing with OWA. BESX sounds better. My questions does ATT charge any more for BESX? My research came up with Verizon making customers change to BES. But nothing on ATT. It sounds like BB didn't want carriers to charge extra for this. It is there answer to active sync in android and iphone. If anybody knows it will be a big help before I go through a lot of changes.
Thanks

That sounds great. But am I correct that Verizon is charging? I was thinking of switching from ATT. But the BESX would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the info.

Yes, Verizon charges $45/month for "Corporate Email" (i.e. access to Exchange servers/BES/BESX).

All carriers charge for BIS access.

Yes BIS I am OK with. Its when the carriers want a extra $15.00 a month to use BESX when it was described by RIM as anybody who has BIS on their phone can get BESX. They lead you to believe that it should be free. And active sync is free at least with all US carriers.

RIM makes BESX as a free product, carriers get greedy and capitalize, forcing you to pay to connect to it.

Blame the carriers.

You'd likely be grandfathered in anyways if you got it before they made the change.

Always a good idea to contact AT&T and make sure they don't charge first.

That was my dilemma. I heard an old saying "it's easier to beg for forgiveness (sometimes), than it is to ask for permission. I have to decide this week. My IT guy will hook me up.
Thanks
