Default Auto Data Charge

Is there anyway for the Blackberry Bold9000, anything in which it will stop sending out to your wireless service provider that you are using the blackberry?
I do not use it for any purposes besides using for texting/Wifi-, thats about it.

Their policy has it to where it auto charges data plan just for inserting your SIM Card into a smartphone, anything that can be used or done to make this issue not occur?
I want to continue using the blackberry without the auto data charge that they do.
Thanks-

This is not possible. Any smartphone added since September 2009 requires a data plan per AT&T's terms of service. What Are The Voice And Data Plan Requirements? - Wireless Customer Agreement - Wireless from AT&T.

Your only options are to pay the data plan or use a feature phone/regular cell phone that does not require a data plan.

Use an unlocked BlackBerry from another carrier. T-Mobile's play nicely on the AT&T network with the minimum of fuss. Same in reverse. Verizon BlackBerry phones take some wrangling.
