Default 2 Phone Numbers on One Blackberry 9700

Is it possible to have two designated numbers on one Blackberry?

I'd like to have one number for work and one for personal?

If so, how does one go about getting that and what is the estimated cost?

Thanks in advance,

I'm not sure about through AT&T but you can utilize google voice to do this.

Google Voice is the best route, I use my normal # plus my google voice # on my torch.
Go to google.com/voice to sign up.
then on the torch browser, you can download the designated app by going to google.com, then click "more" and select google voice from the list.

the other way would be to get another line and have it forward your calls to the line ur blackberry is on. but that costs more.

Other than Google Voice, or having another line forwarded to your 9700, it is not possible. You would need a dual SIM phone, and the 9700 does not have that capability.

Try Google Voice, it is a pretty neat addition, especially when you need a second number.

What you're referring to used to be call "Dual NAM" and it is no longer a supported feature on any carrier. It was possible on the old analog and early digital handsets. Even when it was supported, you would have to assign the handset to the number you wanted to use, it wouldn't ring with either number dynamically. None of this matters because it's not supported anyway... :P

As everyone else has already mentioned, Google Voice is probably your best bet. I've not used it, but called people that do, and it's a pretty decent set up.

It would probably be easier to activate a second line with immediate call forwarding to your existing phone, but that wouldn't give you the ability to call out under the alternate number unless that line's SIM card was in a working phone.
