I did the whole process before. It didn't work for me. I booted at 47.3 about 24 hrs ago and am now at 37.5. Maybe its the theme I'm running natemz pro v3 or one of the apps I have installed. I don't mind the memory leak. I learned to deal with it

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | Themes and OS make a difference. .151 and 5.0 are both great on memory. Themes were notorious at first for being a source of gaping leaks.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | theme should be ok, has to be a bad app or something if you are running 151 IMO

in the social forums, when people create duplicate topics, the old ones get closed ASAP and they link to the active/open threads....wish everyone around here was that dedicated to their MOD job...

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | why not try removing the theme for a day or two and see how it reacts?
instead of dealing with it...

also, god bless you paul, i was going to do the same exact thing...idk why the mods STILL haven't moved that "resolved memory leak" thread into the main forum, it has nothing to do with the OS...they are failing harder and harder...

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | This process is not for people like you. You have ample memory. Memory fluctuates on the BB Storm. You are ok (albeit suffering from a bit of memory-OCD). Just kidding. Going from 45 to 35 MB is not necessarily a memory leak. It's fairly normal esp if you have twitter, facebook, "today" themes, etc.
This process is for those people who post messages about going down to like 1 MB or even 0 MB. It's thought to be caused by corrupted databases when you install leaked OSs. If you look at your database tables, they should not be ballooned up. This process clears out those corrupted databases. I did it after installing about 3 leaked OSs and it made my phone infinitely better.

1) Stop answering duplicate/redundant threads
2) Put the link in your signature

Putting the link in my sig will do nothing because people dont pay attention to it there. It would only benefit me because I would know where find it. So by having it sticked it would stay at the top for everyone and not just me.
