Incredibly useful thread.
I don't know if this was already pointed out, but from the home screen if you press the menu button, it should then take you to a larger list of applications.
Now from this larger list of apps screen, you press the menu button again and then go to options, you'll see a option window that shows a fast way to set a downloads folder, how many rows of icons you want on the homescreen (I set it to one so I can see more of my homescreen wallpaper) From here you can also quickly change your phone's wallpaper and reset the icon arrangement.
I've been very pleased and impressed with the storm so far. I didn't understand how cool SureType was, until I actually read about it. When I didn't understand it, I carelessly assumed it to be useless. I look forward to software updates in the future that will further enhance the experience. The tips about how to lock in the numbers screen when typing is a timesaver and it's great that double tapping the space bar adds a period in SureType.
