Figured it out:

Click on the Options icon
then Screen/Keyboard
then scroll down to Portrait View Keyboard and change to Full Keyboard
then scroll down to Right Side Convenience Key Opens and change to Virtual Keyboard
then Save

Then rotate phone to portrait mode and press the right side convenience key and up pops the keyboard.

I have to concur if your not sure what your changing DON'T DO IT!!! A lot of this stuff helps but like everyone has said if your not sure do go there.
