Hey, Thanks BLT. I value your opinion. So for you to take the time to stop by means a lot.

PLT, I have been PMing you, but wanted to make an official thank you in this thread for the thorough and relatively self-explanatory process (at least for most). This is a job well done!
I have everything working, but since I did an update to my software as well as doing all the steps, I still do not have the browser working. Did I miss something in the process? I would guess it would be something in Step #3 since this puts the AT&T service books on the Storm. How do I check to see if that is missing and how do I reinstall the service book for the browser?
Thanks!

Yeah, PLT, I finally got it. I actually went back through the process that you gave and this time the browser service book pushed through just fine.
I think loading in the new OS plus this whole process confused the phone or something, but I now full internet access. Thanks again for your help!!

As Vodafone users who want to access 3G in the U.S. and Canada, they're just SOL, huh, without the 850/1900MHz HSDPA frequencies??
That's so weird, or does the Vodafone version have tri-band UMTS??

Well, now that I am up and running I have another question to add to the mix that others may have.
I run Desktop Manager here at home and at my office so I can update Outlook and Contacts. Will I need to go through this same process on my work computer like I just did to get AT&T to work on my Storm here at home?
I thought I better ask this before screwing up my Storm by just plugging it in to my DM at work. I need for this to work though so I can synch my work, Storm and home computer with all of my information.
Thanks for your advice and help!!

downside for switching?
lack of 3g coverage and terrible voice coverage as well. without the true 3g support this device needs and not having wi fi, you will regret it. Thats why VZW retains our BB users, they know what works best for their BB needs and VZW is above the bar. ATT is much like T Mobile, a decent company but their lack of coverage and poor voice quality make them behind in the times.

No matter how you spin it, Verizon is still the best in the industry. Nothing is ever more important than making a phone call when it comes to networks, and no one does it better than Verizon. |

Why are you going around to all my Storm guides with nothing to add/ask but Verizon propaganda? So do you have any questions or are you just a Verizon fan boy trying to discourage people from using the phone they want on the carrier they choose? Are you just trying to get the Verizon Rep of the month P.J.'s?
