I am newborn here & i need ur help. I am not using ATT&T carrier nor verizonwireless. I am using MTN Nigeria. But i also have the same issue and want to get it fix. Pls, kindly explain step by step how to go about the whole thing so i can browse with my bb 9550. I have followed the steps and unlock the phone. I actually change the verizonwireless number to my MTN Nigeria number. that works and so i believe others will work and i will be able to browse on my phone not using wifi but MTN Nigeria Data plan via WAP/EDGE/GPRS.

these settings ruined my 9900 on att. Getting frequent SOS messages and internet works half the time. No MMS. Avoid!

I cant do the step 2 cos i am having a hard time opening the desktop manager. Please is there something to download for this?
I got through step 1 and now i dont have a browser icon on my blackberry. How do you open the manager or is there something to download?

hey i know i may be a noob but.....i have desktop 6.0 and i followed the "For Desktop Manager 6.0 Wi-Fi enabled Storms 9550/9520 or Mac Users" link for 6.0 users at the top and it just took me to a pay site.....anybody know the 6.0 method for free....or someone have the 4.6 desktop download available? i dont know if this has been covered yet in the posts but i dont have time to go thru 101 pages of post.....sorry

"Download/Save the Service Books to your desktop, right click on the Zip file and select "Extract All". Inside is one .ipd file. You'll come back to it in Step 2. "

im having the same problem as i am also using DM 6.0 and the options to load the ipd files to the storm isnt there. anyone out there knows a way around it or has a link to D/L DM4.6? i would downgrade just to fix this problem.

of topic question but its the only active thread, error code 507 can't connect to jvm at the end of the load any advice i have tried so many tricks, phone has been like this for like 2months now

Plug into desktop software with no battery in the device, click update, let it download and then pop in the battery once it says waiting for initialization. This is will wipe everything from the device.

OMG you are a genius Ive been trying to get my browser to work on my VZN unlocked 9650 for days. Tried every method here till i stumbled with yours. Your method was the only one that work. Thankssss.

PS for those using Vista . Right click on Crack util and run as Administrator before running every time asked to open in the process
