Call At&t and add it to your plan. Once you have it you will have EDGE and everything will work.

Well, some beta os have trouble holding EDGE. But either way, you need a BB data plan.

Pltaylor, do you have to have a bb data plan for the normal apps to work such as text and phone after you unlock it?

pltaylor I have a question!Few days ago i tried to register my phone on ATT to recive the service book.They asking me for the IMEI and PIN but i got the message "the phone is already registered to an other provider or carrier".Can i ask for a data plan i this condition?Does it will work?I have the storm 9530 from verizon unlocked...can you please help me again with this?

Hey gverma do you get the BB data plan from ATT? Does the ATT website gives to you the message of BB already registered?Does your storm a Verizon unlocked? Can you plese send me something describing the steps you followed to obtain the BB data plan with ATT if you already got one?What do you mean with "works like a charm"?

hey ales. i do have a bb data plan. It didnt give me the bb registered on my phone. Yes the storm is unlocked. Just call At&t n give them ur imei, n say that u want to add the bb data plan.

Hey PLT, after i did the unlock n the service book upload, i still get my friends email.
Idk what this means. N the same thing with sending service books. It says that this pin or imei is already registered to bb.
Pls Help.

Hey gverma this is what i was trying to telling you...I have tried to send the service books via att web site i got the message that the phone is already registered while i was putting in the IMEI and PIN requested to complete the procedure...I was and i'm still afraid that we have to unregister the phon with Verizon before to registere it with ATT and upload the service books...like always any help is appreciate and thanks for all the time you guys are spending trying to help!!!

All this is because the previous owners of your phones need to release the PIN from their accounts. Until thats done, everything will work but you will not be able to set up your email.

only problem is i can't connect. the att homepage comes up but when i try to connect to a link it hangs and never connects. help!!

Thanks PLT. I guess i have to ask him to release the pin, from his account.
Is there some way i can talk to rim n they can do this, coz my friend is out of the country for a few weeks.
