That is what I found too. So I followed the steps again and went from no icon to at least having an icon just no EDGE.

Bought it off CL it was already unlocked. Phone/txt/voicemail work fine.

OK, here's what I would do if were mine. Before getting into os updates etc. Call T-mo, say Blackberry. Ask them to transfer you to RIM, They will offer to help but just tell them you need a PIN verified. Have RIM verify the PIN is not flagged. If it comes back clean, we'll look further.

i have not called rim yet but i will try. by the way my network is set to the 2g network.. when i set it to manual and scan for networks. it gives me 2 options upfront. (Tmobile 2gH) (At&t 2g)

Where do I get the 'CrackUtil' -- the link there dont seem to work.
I just bought the phone unlocked and want to make sure everything will work on it.

i already unlocked my blackberry storm and i can use the phone already except that i dont have the browser icon. I already have a data plan with t-mobile and i can use the blackberry messenger. Then I try using crakutil to connect my phone and the computer.

At the very beginnning they ask for my password of the device, since i didnt put any pasword just press "ok" but then they reply that the password is wrong or the device is not connected??

any thoughts?

I have followed the steps about 15 times but every time i try it i never see the daemeon browser in the app loader screen after i put it in a new folder. Please help. I had this phone for over a month a still dont have internet or mms only the vznavigator works

I did use method one but i just cant get it to work. I followed all the steps very carefully but it still wont work

When you hook up the crackutil you have to make sure you are not hooked up to Desk Manager. Close that and then open the utility.

I have a question, I tried doing a search but did not find anything related to it.

Is there anyway to have the Storm unlocked with the T-Zones plan to browse the internet? I read the tutorial on how to get it to work on T-Mobile that PTaylor put out (great work I might add!!), but I don't know if you HAVE to get the BIS service or it can work w/o it as long as you have the T-Zones hack. Thank you in advance!

Another question is, I tried downloading the crackutil, but the link is bad or the file is gone. Can someone put up a mirror? Thank you!!!

OK so I called TMob and talked with BB who said my pin showed OK on their end but had my old pin at RIM. So she tired to update that and came back with the standard answer from RIM that the storm does not work on TM. I told her that I know they would say that but my sister has a one working and its a storm with full service ( a small white lie). So transfered me to RIM and they had me do the option>adv setting> Host routing and do a reg. Nothing shows in my entries when I do that. She then had me pull my SIM and put it in my old curve to verify I had data and we did. Put it back in the storm and still nothing. She said that the pin is now there but it will not allow the storm on the TM network.

OK I don't know what to do....

Still having troubles.. Still can only connect to the at&t network and recieve full 2g network with only being able to make emergeny phone calls.. I redid this over and over.. not sure why i cant do this.. talked to tmobile they said its cause they didnt have the service books for this phone but blahhhhhhhhh watf?

Is possible the service books I downloaded were outdated? I am not sure if there is a ver or build date on them to see but seems most are getting theirs working with little or no tweaking.

you need to call back tmo.. coz sometimes even though you have bb data plan sometimes they forget to delete bb voice add-on to your account it will conflict the features meaning your bb might get registered but from rim still showing old pin. this is what prevents your servicebooks not getting pushed to your storm make sure when you talk to RIM tell them to check your provisions and make sure that browser and messanger is enabled and check back with tmo and confirm your data features. i had the same problem 3 days ago when i got my storm so far after i called tmo and RIM everything works fine... thanks to PL btw

ps. im ruuning OS .99 on T-mobile. borwser, messanger, email mms are working including maps

Hi,
I have tmobile on my strom,i have service book ok,but i can't go internet,i can go through tzone but slow and sometimes it slow not enought data.
I call tmobile and transfer to BB and the guy walk me through that my sim account was not on the bb data plan,so he has to change it to bb paln and reg on the bb plan ,and all done.
Hope this will help some people that can't have email and slow internet.
