I am able to buy an unlock code from Ebay, the guy had good online feedback and I got my code in 15 hours. His ebay code is ''codevip''
I am not promoting the guy, its just if some one want to get the code.

I still can't find my browser, browser configuration is empty and T-mobile said I couldn't configure my BIS because T-mobile does not support the Storm. So no email, no maps, no internet, although the VZnavigator works once I edit permissions to Allow. Is this fixable? I re-installed .85 OS twice, then went back to .76, still to no avail..oh..when i add the network browser daemon back in, app loader does not prompt for it to being added back in even after it was pasted back into the folder.

Ok, used Crackutil, and browser is back! But...edge is now in small letters...

I'm using the generics posted in pltaylors original post, but it's good to know I can get them sent to me again if ever need be.

Been hanging around here for quite a while picking up tips, tricks, and fixes for my various BB's. Recently got the Storm and would never have got it up and running on GSM w/o you ("YOU" know who you are).

While my it might be off topic and add little value to this thread, I have come out of my lurker status to say ....

Yes, .85 OS and flawlessly running on TMo! The guys at RIM told me they were quite surprised it was actually working!!

That's great! Definitely keep me informed on any new discoveries/observations! when you listed off the things that were working including "VZNAVIGATOR", I thought maybe it was still signed in with VZW too. I bought mine unlocked from a VZ customer and his account was still setup with the phone for like a week. I had it working with t-mo, but switched it accidentally from gsm back to cdma and got all of his texts... lol.

He has a new phone now, but mine still shows his phone number at the top of my screen, even though all calls in and out are mine. I dunno... weird.

Anyhoozle, thanks again! I'm about ready to give the .85 a try myself.

i heard you could really mess up your phone messing with the other settings

Desktop manager will only run on windows. You could possibly use boot camp or something similar but I don't have a Mac to test with so I can't say for sure how it will go.
