Whoa, Don't DELETE it! Just make it inaccessible to DM by hiding it in a folder or even paste it to your desk top to put back in the last step. But DON'T DELETE IT.

So far from what I have seen through the T Mobile manager down the street who followed these steps is that she is unable to access anything that requires an online connection to do it. She states that the connection seems like it locks up and if she ever waits it out for 10 minutes or so, it will act like the connection is timed out.

Then she didn't do something right. When done right every thing works as it should. Ask the others.

She seems to think that VZW can detect the phone being unlocked and used on another network, which even if the phone is purchased by full retail VZW still requires the phone to be used on a VZW network. She is paranoid because she thinks that VZW will track it down using the internal because even with a full retail sale we still track the product via the serial number. I tried to assure her that in all my years with this company I never heard of such a thing, but in all my years with VZW I never sold full retail phones with sim cards in them besides the global 8830 BB we had last year.

I will walk with her through this one again ( second time around ), but I think she is going to just open up a VZW acct. and get herself better coverage anyways. LOL

Why are you going around to all my Storm guides with nothing to add/ask but Verizon propaganda? So do you have any questions or are you just a Verizon fan boy trying to discourage people from using the phone they want on the carrier they choose? Are you just trying to get the Verizon Rep of the month P.J.'s?

So far just instango. Beejive folks are still working on a scrolling issue with 4.7. And good point on the Verizon fan boy too. Ya think he has the matching Verizon sheets and pillow case on his bed? Freakin' Haters Man.

Default Browser under TMO

Even before i followed the instructions, all I did was unlock the sim card through Verizon and put my TMO SIM card in and was able to go to the internet 0n EDGE, use email, and do text messaging. So what did I really gain by going through this whole procedure? It's doing everything I did before just by getting it unlocked?

Thanks
James

I just realized that I updated the phone over the air and also on my desktop to the latest versions before I followed the procedure, maybe that made a difference? Everthing so far is still working, I can switch between Verizon and TMO and both are fully functional from what I can see. VZNav will not work while under GSM but all the main functions when under the proper carrier function as they should.

Thats because your VZ account is still active, once you upgrade or cancel , you will need to upload the sv books to get the storm back to full function

This is for those who only use T-mo. You still have Verizon. There was no need for you to do any of this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have followed all of the steps outlined in the post and when I try to connect to the internet it keeps saying "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later". Any suggestions?
