hey pltaylor, many many thanks for the help; i'm up an running, phone is workin, text is workin an internet is working for the most part. Only thing is I have lost my email account folders, I resent my books for the email accounts, but still no folders. When I go to messages it says "No message services configured. You will only be able to save as a draft". How can I get my email services and folders back? Once this is back and working, I'm good to go! Owe you a few beers that's for sure!

From what I've read throughout this thread and others, the Verizon logo you will just have to get used to, at least until there are themes available. Part of the storms software... right, PT?

((... I'm dying to buy a Storm, but keeping my eye on the unlocking and set up process to T-mobile before I invest the cash...))

I spoke with a T-mobile tech person a couple weeks ago when I got my flip 8220 about the storm and she said there was rumor in the dept that RIM may allow them the proper (legit) service books soon because, and I quote, "the people on crackberry.com and other groups like it are so determined on making it happen". I thought that was pretty cool... Anyhow, I ran into a great deal on an unlocked storm today, called Tmo PDA/Blackberry tech, got a different person and her supervisor said that they have a couple different methods to try over the phone, but couldn't gaurantee it would work... mostly depended on the origin of the storm, be it a Verizon unit or Vodaphone, etc.

Not knowing for sure, I let the deal go, but I'm still following you guys. Freakin' Crackberry Einsteins, I swear! lol!

Default leaving G1 for Storm

I'm NEW HERE
ok i have been reading reviews and threads for the last few hours and hope that i have made a good choice. i have had tmobile for 6yrs and just sold my blckbrry pearl and bought the google G1. i do love all the functionality and FREE apps but it is too bulky and doesn't let me get my msn mail nor does my bluetooth work with it, so i have ordered the storm 9530 (i take this is an upgrade from the 9500???) does this means bugs will be out when i get it after the 15th of this month? it's great to know though that i can unlock the phone and stay with tmobile especially since my contract isn't up.

attention uk t mobile users,
the service books here dont actually help, this will give you the mms option but you cant actually use it,
i added the u.s ones, then i had to delete the and add the uk ones (go to options, hosting route table then choose register now, reset phone and you have them)

this wont actually help us sny further until someone releases the offical storm ones which is an enigma....

if anyone can help that would be sooooo needed!!!!! lol

i now have my e mails coming to my phone but no e mail folders which is just plain weird......

uk users beware!!!!

thanks

One question, how do you make the T-Mobile Voice mail work for the Blackberry Storm? I received a voice mail but it won't play.

is is true that the 9530 can't be unlocked because it doesn't have gsm like the 9500? read that on another site.

Ha! What site was that? As you see here and the other thread, http://forums.crackberry.com/f86/how...m-95xx-107154/There are 16 pages of people running unlocked 9530 Storms on T-mobile and At&t.
