What is the QXDM? I'm getting a storm 9530 tonight for my wife... Trying to put it on alltel. Is it a program I download?

I got the storm activated. I don't have a browser (yes, I know there is a sticky) But followed what the sticky kept repeating. Battery Pull. Look at service books and Register on host routing table. Still get noting... I don't even know how to check the EVDO if I can't even use the web. I can't send MMS messages either. I beleive it is all tied together.

i unlocked mine for uscellular last nite but i cant send mms or get emails....o and it keeps switchn from 1x to 1XEV...can someone help me

I followed the steps and it worked on my Storm 2 and im through alltel!..even the browser is working without the wifi!! thank you very much..

Anyone have any problems with the phone simply not activating? Was able to find a rep to make the switch, he was cool about it, I copied all my settings from my 8130, then the phone kept defaulting to verizon towers on *228 so I loaded up the alltel prl and was everything should have been good, I got the alltel programming on *228 after that, but everytime I tried to activate or update roaming I kept getting "we are unable to program your phone". Everything else seemed fine, SID was right after updating the prl. So I called again this morning to check to make sure the MEID was right and got a newbie rep who said it wasn't possible to put in the system yada yada yada. Switched back to my Pearl for now but I'd like to try again. Does it make any difference that I am on divested alltel?

My sister unlocked her Storm 1 (verison phone) for me and brought it over to South Africa. It worked fine for a while but them started to switch off, hour glass start up and hang. It has done this without fail every time I try and turn on the phone. I took it in to my service provider who tested the phone and says it needs a software update. I downloaded the file and took it to them as it would not sync with my laptop because it never got past the booting stage. They could not help.
I sent it back to my sister in the states who took it in to someone and they said they could not help.

Is there any way to manually reset the Storm 1 to its factory settings so I can get my phone started and working again?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
