5. This is disabling your even log , also seems to save battery and increase speed. turn your phone to landscape mode , MENU> SHOW KEYBORED> TYPE /"/"/ > even log will then pop up >CLICK MENU CLEAR LOG > THEN MENU > PROPERTIES > CLICK ON THE FIRST ITEM IN THE LIST > MENU HIDE ALL TYPE.
| after clearing the log, i press menu again but i dont see properties, all i see is "view, clear log, refresh, options, show keyboard, switch application, close"

ever played brickbreaker and notice the data recieving/sending arrow at the top right hand of your screen while in play? that's gps at work. turn that to E911 and it will increase the battery life and performance of your phone

Blackberries are constantly sending and receiving data; this is not gps specific.
However, I will agree with sooks that running location on can have an adverse affect on battery life, especially if you run gps intensive apps like google maps or gps enabled weatherbug.

the event log is hidden it doesnt stop logging.
