Default Why Why Why Why I Wonder..?

I have been hesitant to change my handset out but my 30 days is coming up so I got #3 now. This one the screen works GREAT! No goofy stiffness no lockups Whats the reason I wonder WHY??? How come some work right and some don't? All 3 made in Canada all made within 10 days of each other, its just Goofy. Its silly you almost have to go through several before you find one that works properly.

It's the nature of mass production I think.

Unfortunately it's too much to ask these days for everything you buy to be perfect out of the box 100% of the time.

I went through 4 within 72 hours. First one Software crashed wouldnt reload. Second one Screen Slanted so high it was above the sides, 3rd wouldn't click (Didn't make it out the store with that one) 4th. PERFECT!

The people at that VZW store really didn't like me when I went back for my 4th. Oh well they sell me an unusable product tough **** there issue not mine.

Funny you mentioned you didn't get out of the store with one. Same thing here. The VZW rep activated my phone and handed it to me. Power button wasn't working correctly. Now mind you I never left the counter. I hand the phone back to the girl and she tells I need to go to customer service and have a tech look at it. I told her I just wanted another phone. She told me she couldn't because my phone was activated and I get a Fru phone if I wanted. Needless to say after twenty mins of arguing I finally got a new one. It was comical to say the least.

LOL yea I was about 15 feet from the door and they were all watching me walk away probably saying "Thank GOD He's GONE!" and I turned around and they all had a look of disgust and like oh **** not again. lol

No arguing necessary though for me. They knew I had all the time in the world to wait, I got the new one and they looked at me and said "congradulations you just qualified for the multi fru, Can we interest you in another phone." Looked at her and said: "nah were having so much fun with this one what else would I do with my life if I weren't here everyday for the last 3 days" :P

that rep is an ***** You just got the phone and it isn't working DUH no fru you aren't even in the 30 days this is day one and she did this to you? she shouldn't be selling Verizon that is just nonsense. She should had just gotten you another phone without any issues. You have 30 days that is utter nonsense. store I deal with is always helpful unless the customer is really jerking them around. Some people really take advantage but if it is a real issue give me a break that rep needs to be replaced herself I would email from your account and complain about her to customer care they frown on that behavior

I'm at my second one, both made in Hungary. The first one died suddenly...second one is perfect.

I had 6 so far. 3 with blown speakers. One with a broken send button. One with a raised end button. And one with yellow menu and back buttons.

I swear everyone of the phones had different brightness levels of the menu and back keys. The one I have now that works decent enough to use has white notton buttons that are two times dimmer than my end and send key. My original phone had really bright bottom buttons and they had a blue tint to them like an LED.

mine has been pretty good and I never had a replacement. Now... there have been issues! But not enough to warrant a device exchange.

On another note, I can attest to the inconsistancies of the screen. A few months after I bought mine, a co-worker bought one as well. When I played with it, I noticed that her screen was softer and much more bouncer than mine was. I was tempted to bring up the issue with verizon but the issue wasnt as bad...... just wish I had the softer screen click

Poor QC from RIM in the past few years, nothing new... they need to improve this a lot.

It's called poor quality control. RIM is definitely not putting out the same quality products like it used to. Back in the day you could buy an 8700 and that thing was a tank.

On number 4. 1: blurry pictures (got it Storm day-one). 2: physical buttons stopped working. 3) Crash and wouldn't boot. 4: got at about 11.5 months of warranty. Has had some flakiness as of late but it still works after a out 2 months.

I'm on my second device though I have taken it back do to issues and keep getting the run-around and they refuse to replace it. The first device had the screen-click issue and also would register my touches at the top portions of the screen instead of where I clicked. On the one I have now the keyboard is very slow and cannot keep up with my typing, the input interface constantly resets while typing, partial keyboards when switching between screens, very very slow internet, physical screen click is very sluggish and feels very delayed. As I've said I have taken it in but keep getting the run-around. I was told that all these problems can be fixed with an update that's due to come out "next week"... mind you I was told this twice now in the past two months.
