| | Why are we such Leak-hungry monsters?
There's a theory, well, more of a fact realitistically, that humans are so easily desensitized to consistently over-used, over-stimulating products and emotions that we tend to gaze into the future, more seemingly, to please ourselves. We seek better, more over-powering emotional connections as we pass, what we once thought, was the most passionate we could become. Your brand new 9700 not as good as the day you bought it? You're used to it. And the day the next generation, quite literally, of anything is within a finger's reach, you strive for it. Your emotions dry and sub-standardize to what is in your possession. It's what makes us human. Evolutionarily, it kept us alive: as a survival mechanism. We wanted the best meat because it kept us healthy, and we wanted the most feminine/masculine mate to keep our legacy continuing.
It's only a matter of becoming aware, and overcoming this obstacle, so that we don't consistently destroy ourselves for being so power hungry, in this case, leak hungry. We want better, and we need change. So maybe if, even just one person reads this, they'll change their ways, even in the slightest, so that they can appreciate what they acquire now, and they won't post some god damn whr teh leekzz? thread, and accept their charity with the best of their ability.
Thank you.

Wow that was a he** of a lecture. I think you're looking WAY too far into the issue. I always look for leaks because it means something that needed fixed or improved has been taken care of. And who doesn't want to fix a problem with their phone? If the leaked version becomes official it's the same thing that got leaked to begin with. So why wait for it to get released? And if it never does then I'm on to the next sw version...

Because as Blackberry owners we are hoping the next leak will give us that perfect OS we are always looking for.

Lol... the thing is, he's largely right. Think what you might of the simple fact that this was posted, but sociologically or anthropologically, he's pretty correct.

We would be hungry for ANYTHING that might be a quick and free fix to make any aspect of our lives better.
These leaks have the potential to make our phone "better"
If we could similarly make our refrigerators, cars, tvs, toasters, shoes, etc perform "better" simply by downloading a patch, you'd better believe we'd be crying for leaks for those as well.

Well for me, I just liked leaks because then I would have something to do when I was bored!
Same thing for my Droid, I look constantly for updates to my custom rom even thought its fine the way it is.

I'm not as leak hungry as I was. .419 has finally made the 9530 usable (though not perfect) to the point where I don't really even look for leaks anymore. Not like when I was stuck on .328 and checking here 15 times a day...lol!
