Default Why is my Storm deleting my past appointments

I have had my storm for about a year now and have been running the Desktop Manager for Mac since it came out. I'm not sure when this started happening but my storm deletes past appointments except for recurring ones. I have my calendar options set to "Keep Appointments Forever" but still deletes old appointments.

Any solutions?

Dusty

Is your app memory running low? It will start to delete old appointments, emails, etc. when it starts getting low.

Yep! My app memory is running low= 905k... only 5.9mb after reboot

hmmmm. Doing some more investigation. What should it be? I dont' have a LOT of installed apps and I don't let anything except the minimums run on a regular basis.

Could also be a problem with your Storm. I have same problem - have lost 1000's of "old" appointments. Even with 20+MB free memory. Am getting a warranty replacement to see if that fixes the issue - after huge amounts of time spent with Telus and RIM techs. Final straw was when it happened after I did a security wipe under RIM's direction and it happened again. They then wanted me to do a full wipe and reload the OS. I said no - I bought the phone to be a time saver, not waster. Not interested in becoming a Berry tech or doing stuff just because it was "logical" - that's RIM's job or my carrier's job. If I was going to have to reload all my apps and reconfigure the phone it was going to be on a new unit, and I was choked at even having to do that. Telus whined but finally gave in, and I'm hoping this will fix the problem. I'm not confident though.

To me it's not likely Storm will ever work for me in this area. Storm 2 might.

All BlackBerry devices are designed to drop "inimportant" data in the event of memory loss or critically low memory. Call logs, text messages, old appointments, and other items are tossed when your memory starts to run low. The Storm is very vulnerable to this event due to it's low app memory.

The only way to stop this is to either:

-Shrink your OS
-Uninstall a lot of your apps
-sync your calendar entries somewhere else or back them up very frequently
