why does the blackberry storm 9550 cost so much if every one dislikes them?

RIM should drop the price

The price had already been dropped like a year ago. Are you buying full retail or new contract/upgrade?

Its not RIM's call on the price, most of the time, its the decision of the carrier to sell it at a certain price on and off contract

ohh used from ebay because they cost $500 new from Verizon

Look here on CB....you will find it for under $200. Or try craigslist pick up only, that way you can verify the actual condition.

I'm with the others get it from the after market, used, it's MUCH cheaper that way!

You can find them for under 300 new off ebay, but warranty might not be good unless from the ebay store you are buying it from. Look at small print...

Also can't get insurance on phone.

So if you want those things, best to pay up.

Carriers only discount the contract prices not the full price, they want to sell you a contract not just a phone.
