this wasn't supposed to be a rant/rave thread.
I put up this thread in the OS section because it seems that there are new leaks every day for other BB devices, and ever since the S2 came out, we have forgotten by the BB programmers. That is what I meant by being the "ugly duckling."
I am very happy with my S1, but as I said, I won't waste my early upgrade on an S2! I'll save it for a better , more improved device. The S2 is a slightly warmed over S1. I could care less about playing 3D games on my blackberry. I use my BB as a tool for work, not for playing. That's what the PS3 and PSP are for. Granted the S1 is much imprived over the intial software offers of last year and early this year. It has really upped the level with the 5.0 release.
I just wish they wouldn't forget about us S1 users now that the S2 is out!
So........when's the next leak? |

RIM announced two devices will support OpenGL, the Storm2 and the new Curve.
While no official announcement was made about the Tour being able to carry it, it is believed that this is because the Tour still officially runs on 4.7.
Oddly enough, the Bold2 wasn't on the list of compatible devices, it is rumored that the processor, at this time, won't get along nicely with OpenGL.

| I read in this article that it will be available for any smartphone running 5.0 or higher. I understand things can change, but as far as I can tell, the Storm 1 will be able to support OpenGL.
PS...I tried to post the link, but since I don't have a post count of 10 or greater...I am unable to post the link. |

You SHOULD be forgotten. If I were RIM I would want to distance myself from this horrid piece of junk as quickly as I possibly could. I'd hate to have a stain like the Storm1/2 on my companies reputation.
