I've had probably 20 years of cell phone usage, Blackberry has the worst voice dialing/recognition software, for a device of this magnitude, there should be a much better technology. Blackberry works of "pronunciation" recognition, Mobiledevice, you and I know this is not logically, a lot of the pronunciation the Blackberry interprets is completely off hilter, I actually laugh sometimes when I hear the playback of the names.
I'll give you a good example, put BestBuy in your phone book and try to voice dial with that name, I can bet you won't hit it. I've even split it to Best Buy and also put Store at the end so it's unique, it's still a 50/50 hit and miss and my english is just fine, I hate to see anyone with an accent try. If you do hit it, listen to the Blackberry's playback, it sounds nothing like what you and I would pronounce it.
This is not a difficult feature, it's been around for ages. Why not give the user a choice to record their own voice dialing names like every other phone does, at least this way, we have a choice rather then just not using it because really, it does not work like voice dialing should.
