storm keeps resetting when phone is activated

my storm keeps resetting. i reinstalled the os and it did nothing to help. i upgraded to another os (i think .791) and it still does it. i have a palm pre also, so if i activate the palm pre and deactivate the storm, the storm does not shut off or reset it, but as soon as i call verizon and have them activate the storm back up, it works for about two minutes then the screen goes black i get the hour glass, then the screen goes black, then the hour glass. its like it wants to reset but does nothing. i also get a flashing red light. has anybody had thins problem?
