I don't think RIm have a great future, especially with the Iphone wannabes from Samsung, HTC etc., the MS phones and the Android phones. | The iphone does NOT handle email as well as the Storm (and yes I have both an iPhone and both Storms, so I speak from first hand experience). The iPhone is fast and has more apps I give it that but email management it isn't even a close competition.

Two years and one month to the day and I'm still rocking the original 9530. I never had the need to replace, repair, or 6itch for that matter. Love the phone and anxiously awaiting the next gen Storm.

The last straw came when my wife and daughter got Motorola Droid 2 Global phones before Christmas. I helped them set up their phones, and in the process, I learned how to do things with the Android OS. I discovered that these phones could do everything my Storm could do, plus a whole lot more, and at a much faster speed (they have 1.2 GHz processors in these things!). Plus, they have dual global circuitry in them, just like the Storm! So, the day after Christmas, I went to Verizon and invested my NE2 discount in a Droid 2 Global phone and so far I am very satisfied with the decision.
Of course, as the new G4 LTE phones start coming out next year, things will change, and RIM may finally get its act together (I hope!). But, until that happens, I don't have to make any more excuses for the Storm. I'm now a very happy Droid 2 Global phone owner...

I love its functionality. its just that its not that user friendly though. and maybe, a lot of glitches, especially on the touch screen feature.

I agree with you whole heartedly. I absolutely hate my BB storm. You only mentioned a few of all the problems that I have with this phone, if one can even call it that. It is the slowest phone I have ever encountered, it takes eons to boot up, it is sooo slow to type on, the radio turns off when it has low battery, it wont turn on when its battery is low. Just to name a few of the other problems.
