Storm Backlight Burnt Out

My original Storm had a major problem yesterday. The backlight burnt out. This was purchased in December 2008 and was manufactured in Mexico. Amazingly I never experienced many of the problems that have shown up in the forums.

I took the Storm to local Verizon Corporate store and they replaced it for me on the spot, with a new Storm, not a reconditioned one. This one is manufactured in Hungary. Prior to taking it in I backed my software and third party apps.

Overall I would have to give Verizon very high marks for the way they handled this.

Oh wow, you're lucky, the backlight on my torch went out today, like i can still touch buttons and hear the sound of the dialpad and receieve phone calls, but point is I'm just about positive at&t wont replace my phone, they wouldn't replace it when the speaker stopped working, but hitting it fixed it, the thing is the backlight went out when i walked in the store then when i was out it stopped working, no dropping, getting wet or anything, I'm not sure what to do
