Default Storm 9530 and Verizon

Hi, everybody. Wonder if anybody else is dealing with this...

I've had the Verizon Storm 9530 since the beginning. For the most part it's been OK. I'm not under contract with Verizon and have been looking at some of the unlimited prepaid contenders.

Does anyone know if my Storm can be made to work with any of the unlimited plans out there? Can the 9530 work with any other carrier that charges less? Verizon's prices are pretty high and I'm looking to shed some expenses. Thanks.

I've seen a few people with Storms from Metro PCS. I don't know if you have them in your local. Something I did notice was that some things seemed not to function properly with the Storm on Metro PCS. Good luck...

In in New Jersey so MetroPCS is here. The challenge is that I've been told they don't flash phones anymore. Has anybody been able to MetroFlash their Storm? What would I lose in functionality? Would it be worth it with? Thanks for the reply.

You should check out Page Plus, it runs on Verizon's network, but is cheaper. Any Verizon phone can be flashed to work with it.

Thanks, Heavy Fluid. I looked into Page Plus. The only challenge is that I can't get service in Puerto Rico and I visit at least once a year. Does anyone know any prepaid that covers Puerto Rico besides Net10?

The only issue with Net10 is that I couldn't use the Storm. The quest continues!
